We are not a large operation nor a kennel in the common view of the definition.

We're simply a family with our loyal, loving, intelligent family dogs. We prefer to stay just a family with our dogs in order to give the maximum attention to each one and avoid the "many" that a 'kennel' might have. 

These awesome dogs that meet the needs of so many, deserve a family style life.

Our past pups include Service Dogs that are currently serving the needs of their person / families, as well as dogs that have earned titles that they and their families have accomplished.

Our past pups  are our Pride & Joy!

 

We believe in taking proper care before allowing two dogs to breed so we DNA Health test our potential breeding dogs. We test for breed specific issues as well as non breed specific issues. This is to give all our puppy families the best possible start in good health that we can. Nothing in nature is perfect, we all know that, but going that extra mile of using tools that modern day technology gives us, is one way to provide the best start that we possibly can. 

We also use 'natural health options’ FIRST, but we believe conventional also has it's place!  Using BOTH options is best for us, but we understand it may not be what all families choose and that’s perfectly ok, it’s a personal choice. For us, natural options are reached for first as they have the least possible side effects, but conventional vet care is always kept ‘at the ready’ just in case heavier care is needed.

We raise as naturally as we can. 

* We don't use herbicides for weeds anywhere on our property

* We keep our dogs & puppies on natural surfaces, no joint damaging concrete other than on our little patio.

* We use natural health preventives and treatments as our first line of defense.

* We allow natural weaning. We let the moms decide when to wean as nature has intended. Most moms choose anywhere between 5 and 7 weeks for the weaning process to be completely done. 

* We aren't able to do all raw diets, but we've become very picky about their food; we add natural proteins of

 meat, fish, and eggs and we won't feed any any food that contains 'by products', GMOs, or artificial colors. 

 

Other than the food option, we provide a natural lifestyle for our pets and they're known to live well beyond the common lifespan for their species. Even our horse is in her 30s! Our barn cat lived to 19 years old! And most of our big dogs lived to 13 -14 years old! It doesn't take much to give the best most natural life, it just takes a little thinking outside the "box" to give the pets the best life we can provide.
